Dr Cregan has extensive Endocrine Surgery experience with a large practice in Thyroid, Parathyroid and Laparoscopic Adrenal Surgery and has presented results at International Meetings

Dr Cregan is a Member of the Australian Association of Endocrine Surgeons & the Endocrine Section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS)

Dr Cregan is accredited to train senior trainees in Endocrine Surgery by the College of Surgeons (PFT)

Abdominal Surgery
Oesophageal and Gastric Surgery

Dr Cregan and Prof Cox both have extensive experience in Endoscopic Procedures, Laparoscopic Fundoplication & Gastric Surgery.

Prof Cox is an Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon with an interest in all forms of Oesophageal and Gastric Surgery.

Both Dr Cregan & Prof Cox are members of the Upper GI Section of the RACS and are accredited to train senior trainees in Gastric Surgery.

Pancreatic and Biliary Surgery

Both Dr Cregan and Prof Cox have a large practice in Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.

Dr Cregan was an early Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy adopter.

Prof Cox has a special interest in ERCP & invented a Biliary stent which is now part of a wide evaluation trial.  He also has experience in Bile Duct reconstruction.

Liver Surgery

Prof Cox has a wide experience in Liver Resections and a special interest in NASH (Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease)

Hernia Repair

Both Dr Cregan and Prof Cox perform Open Hernia Repairs

Dr Cregan has one of the largest Hernia practices in Australia, with a special interest and 18 years experience in Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair.  His experience is consistent with the scientific literature, which shows an early return to work and less pain with the Laparoscopic method.
